about me

I am a clarinettist from West Sussex, currently studying for a Masters Degree at the Hochschule für Musik Frankfurt am Main. I am a passionate musician and am enthusiastic about learning and performing a variety of genre, including classical, contemporary and jazz.
Growing up I performed in several local Youth Orchestras, Wind Orchestras and Big Bands and I subsequently went on to study at Trinity Laban in 2017. I graduated from Trinity with First Class Honours in 2021, and was the recipient of the Wilfred Hambleton Clarinet Prize. During my undergraduate studies in London, I performed alongside the University of London Symphony Orchestra as well as the major Trinity Laban orchestras, and now am pleased to be performing alongside the HfMDK symphony orchestra in Frankfurt.
As a freelancer, I have been invited to perform with several professional orchestras, most notably with Kidenza, Stane Street Sinfonietta, the London Concert Orchestra and Deutsche Philharmonie Merck – performances which have taken me to some very special venues, such as the Barbican, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Kloster Eberbach and the Royal Festival Hall. As well as orchestral playing, I was also pleased to make my solo concerto debut with the Horsham Symphony Orchestra, playing Jean Françaix's Clarinet Concerto, and as a chamber musician I have performed in various festivals including the Brighton Fringe and the 34th Krakow International Festival of Composers, Poland.
As a passionate music teacher, I taught various students with London Music Centre during my time at Trinity, and completed an invaluable placement at Junior Trinity, working with young musicians. I worked with West Sussex Music in 2021-2022, where I taught over 30 students in single and group lessons, whilst assisting in their youth orchestras, where I occasionally took sectional and full rehearsals. During this year, I was also pleased to be the clarinet tutor for their “Tomorrow’s Orchestral Program” which combined instrumental lessons and an orchestra rehearsal every week, specifically designed to bring music to young beginners.
As I continue through my Masters Degree, I aim to continue developing as a clarinettist and musician, further expanding my repertoire and experience as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician.
