about me
I am a clarinettist hailing from West Sussex, a passionate musician, enthusiastic about learning and
performing a variety of genre, including classical, contemporary, jazz and everything in between. I
completed my Bachelor's degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in 2021, and in 2024
completed my Master's degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main,
graduating from both with First Class Honours.
Growing up I was heavily involved with the West and East Sussex Music Centres, performing
nationally and internationally with their Youth Orchestras, Wind Orchestras and Big Bands. I
subsequently went onto study music at Trinity Laban in 2017. During my time in London, I performed
alongside the University of London Symphony Orchestra and the major Trinity Laban orchestras, as well as
with professional touring orchestra Kidenza, which gave me my first taste in the profession.
Since living and studying in Frankfurt, I have been pleased to have been active as a freelance musician,
and am regularly invited to perform with several professional orchestras including the London Concert
Orchestra, Deutsche Philharmonie Merck, the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra and the City of London
Sinfonia at Opera Holland Park. As well as orchestral playing, I made my solo concerto debut with the
Horsham Symphony Orchestra in 2021, performing Jean Françaix's Clarinet Concerto, and have performed as
a chamber and orchestral musician in various festivals, including the Brighton Fringe, Minehead Music
Festival, and the Kraków International Festival of Composers, Poland.
As a passionate music teacher, I taught various students with London Music Centre outisde of my
studies at Trinity Laban, and completed an invaluable placement at Junior Trinity, working with young
musicians. I also worked with West Sussex Music in 2021-2022, teaching over 30 students in single and
group lessons, whilst assisting in their youth orchestras, where I occasionally took sectional and full
rehearsals. During the year, I was also pleased to be the clarinet tutor for their founding year of
“Tomorrow’s Orchestral Program” which combined instrumental lessons and an orchestra rehearsal every
week, specifically designed to bring music to young beginners.
Having just completed my Master's degree, I aim to continue developing as a clarinettist and
musician, further expanding my repertoire and experience as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician. As
well as continuing to perform in a freelance capacity both in my home country and abroad, I am also
pleased to be performing regularly with the Philharmonisches Orchester Gießen, after winning the
audition to be their Klarinettepraktikant for their current season.
