about me
I am a clarinettist from West Sussex, with extensive experience in orchestral, chamber and solo
performance. I graduated from Trinity Laban with First Class Honours, and in 2024 completed my Master's
degree with Distinction at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main.
I grew up playing with the West Sussex and Brighton Music Centres, playing nationally and
internationally with their Youth Orchestras, Wind Orchestras, and Big Bands. I went on to study music at
Trinity Laban, during which time I performed with the University of London Symphony Orchestra, as well
as with Kidenza (Concerts for Kids), which gave me my first taste in the profession.
Whilst living and studying in Frankfurt, I became an active freelance musician, regularly
performing with the London Concert Orchestra, Deutsche Philharmonie Merck, Brighton Philharmonic
Orchestra,
and the City of London Sinfonia at Opera Holland Park. In addition to orchestral work I have performed
as a
soloist, most notably playing Jean Françaix's Clarinet Concerto with the Horsham Symphony Orchestra and
as a chamber musician at various festivals, including the Kraków International Festival of Composers in
Poland.
I am a passionate music teacher who enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities. I
currently teach privately, and previously taught several clarinet students and chamber ensembles at
Junior Trinity. Between 2021-22 I also worked with West Sussex Music, teaching individual and group lessons
with parent participation and occasionally taking sectional and full rehearsals with their youth
orchestras.
Immediately following my studies in Germany, I won the Klarinettenpraktikant position with the
Philharmonisches Orchester Gießen, performing throughout their 2024-25 season. Having now returned to
the UK, I perform regularly with professional chamber and symphony orchestras across the country while
continuing to build a diverse career alongside my teaching.
